Rebels vs Fester

The Rebels reached double-digit win total with an 8-4 win over Fester's team. The Rebels started Kyle Obertino on the hill, but had to leave early due to a tight hamstring. He was followed by Trevor Carpenter who went the rest of the way. Several good defensive plays highlighted the game. Two players were gunned down at homeplate and two runners were picked-off second base.

Rebels vs Pohlman

The Rebels rallied for a 12-8 win over the team from Calhoun. The Rebels trailed early but got on the board with a Kyle Obertino solo Home Run in the second. The Rebels eventully took the lead and held on for the win. Billy Ritchey started and Brady Talkington finished the game for the Rebels.

Rebels vs Hamilton

The Rebels' bats were shut down by two Bandits' pitchers in a 8-2 loss Tuesday. Starter Cole Bugger and reliever Jacob Hamilton limited the Rebels to just a handful of baserunners, but the Rebels were able to push across two runs. The Rebels and Bandits split the two games played this season.

Rebels vs Perkey

The Rebels swept the two-game season series from the Godfrey squad, 28-2 the final in this one. Kyle Obertino started on the hill, throwing three shutout innings. He also starred at the plate going 4-5 with a triple, 2 doubles and a single.

Rebels vs Sutton

Whew! That was a close one! The Rebels built a 8-2, behind a strong pitching performance from starter Billy Ritchey, then had to hold on as the Godfrey team got close in the last inning, Rebels win 8-6. Sid Sarginson came on to get the final two outs via the strikeout. The Rebels had to overcome several questionable calls from the Godfrey homeplate umpire, calls that could have been the difference in the game. The umpire failed to call a hit-by-pitch that would have forced in a Rebel run and a Godfrey run was allowed when the runner didn't slide, or avoid a collision at homeplate.

Rebels vs Lacy

The Rebels lost their first game of the year 6-2 to the Bombers. Starting pitchers Sid Sarginson and Tim Lacy were locked in a pitching duel in the early innings before the Bombers were able to break through. The Rebels pulled within two, at 4-2. But the Bombers added two insurance run in the seventh to seal the win.

Rebels vs Perkey

Rebels took advantage of the Godfrey starters wildness in posting a 22-2 win. Rebels used four pitchers in the game. Starter Brady Talkington lasted only a couple batters before leaving, due to illness. Billy Ritchey, Lucas Baalman and Kendrick Soer followed on the hill. The game ended on a nifty 6-4-3 double-play.

Rebels vs Parish

The Rebels "ratteled the bats" in posting a 22-3 win over the Sharks. Playing shorthanded -- only nine players in uniform -- didn't affect the Rebels. Sid Sarginson started and Trevor Carpenter finished on the mound for the 5-0 Rebs.

Rebels vs Lacy

The Rebels finally beat the Bombers. The Rebels got a strong 6 innings from starter Brady Talkington and Kyle Obertino closed it out in the 7th as the Rebels bested the Bombers 7-1. The Rebels coupled the strong pitching with timely hitting and good defense to beat the Bombers for the first time.

Rebels vs Hamilton

The Rebels rallied for 6 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge the Bandits 16-15. The Rebels led 3-1 after one inning, but the Bandits pulled ahead and led going into the final innings. Brady Talkington came on to pitch the final two innings and managed to keep the game close. Lucas Baalman crossed the plate with the winning run as Trevor Carpenter reached on a throwing error.
